Each with many years of playing experience, the four members of The Michael D. Band have vast, yet diverse musical backgrounds. Their courteous professionalism and tight, consistent, and energized performances have quickly made them a favorite with the fans and with venues across the country.
As a native of Indiana, Michael began his musical career as a Solo Artist at DePauw University, where he also played football and ran track. He earned his degree in Biology and moved on to play music for five years around Nashville, where he became an accomplished songwriter. Since then, Michael has been touring the country and has also had a recording contract with Hag Records.
Born and raised in the Heart of Kentucky, one of Kevin’s many credits include working as the Guitar Tech for six years for Country music superstar, John Michael Montgomery. His abilities as a guitar player, sound engineer, vocalist, and his wisdom from years of national touring make him a cornerstone of the Michael D. Band.
Born and raised in Greenwood, IN, Mike began his musical journey at the young age of 8 following in his father’s footsteps (who also played the drums). He participated in the band program from middle school through high school. From there he became a member of the drum and bugle corps and also worked with a drum line for 2 years. Turning 21 allowed Mike to join various well known bands around Indianapolis, and he has been performing regionally for the past 15 years. Whether in a small bar or an arena, you can easily see Mike’s passion for music when he is on stage.
Raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Josh started his music career touring with Elvis II. He went on to play with a few successful regional bands, playing different styles ranging from Blues to Rock N Roll. He is also currently earning his Bachelor Degree in Music Production at Full Sail University. With his accomplishments as a bass player, added to his strong work ethic and desire to succeed, Josh is a great asset and a perfect fit for the band.
