Each with many years of playing experience, the four members of The Michael D. Band have vast, yet diverse musical backgrounds.  Their courteous professionalism and tight, consistent, and energized performances have quickly made them a favorite with the fans and with venues across the country.

(Vocals/Rhythm Guitar/Mandolin)

Michael Diekhoff

As a native of Indiana, Michael began his musical career as a Solo Artist at DePauw University, where he also played football and ran track.  He earned his degree in Biology and moved on to play music for five years around Nashville, where he became an accomplished songwriter.  Since then, Michael has been touring the country and has also had a recording contract with Hag Records.

(Lead guitar/Vocals)

Kevin Rawlings

Born and raised in the Heart of Kentucky, one of Kevin’s many credits include working as the Guitar Tech for six years for Country music superstar, John Michael Montgomery.  His abilities as a guitar player, sound engineer, vocalist, and his wisdom from years of national touring make him a cornerstone of the Michael D. Band.

A current resident of Lexington, KY, Steve toured the US, Canada and Japan with the award winning country music group Exile from 1999 to 2009.  Since then he has mostly performed with local and regional acts around Kentucky.  Previously endorsed by Johnny Rabb Drumsticks and Evans Drum heads, Steve’s aggressive groove style of drumming and impressive harmony vocals make him the missing link that this band has been looking for.

(Bass Guitar/Vocals)

Josh Watson

Raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Josh started his music career touring with Elvis II. He went on to play with a few successful regional bands, playing different styles ranging from Blues to Rock N Roll. In addition to becoming the newest member of the band, he is also currently earning his Bachelor Degree in Music Production at Full Sail University.  With his accomplishments as a bass player, added to his strong work ethic and desire to succeed, Josh is a great asset and a perfect fit for the band.
