Each with many years of playing experience, the four members of The Michael D. Band have vast, yet diverse musical backgrounds.  Their courteous professionalism and tight, consistent, and energized performances have quickly made them a favorite with the fans and with venues across the country.

(Vocals/Rhythm Guitar)

Michael Diekhofthf

As a native of Indiana, Michael began his musical career as a Solo Artist at DePauw University, where he also played football and ran track.  He earned his degree in Biology and moved on to play music for five years around Nashville, where he became an accomplished songwriter.  From there, he moved north to Lexington, KY, where his popularity as an artist really began to come out. From there, he signed with a national booking agency, and has been touring the country as the front man for MDB ever since.

(Lead guitar/Vocals)

Kevin Rawlings

Born and raised in the Heart of Kentucky, one of Kevin’s many credits include working as the Guitar Tech for six years for Country music superstar, John Michael Montgomery.  His abilities as a guitar player, sound engineer, vocalist, and his wisdom from years of national touring make him a cornerstone of the Michael D. Band.

(Bass Guitar/Vocals)

Performing professionally since the age of 16, the Southern Indiana native brings a ton of touring experience to MDB.  Playing bass guitar for EPIC recording artist Shelby Lynne allowed Hank to perform on TV shows such as ‘Hee Haw’, ‘Austin City Limits’, and ‘Nashville Now’, as well as appearances on The Grand Ole’ Opry.  He then toured the nation for 3 straight years with Country Music superstar Rhett Akins before returning home again to explore his own projects.  Deciding to hit the road again, Hank’s vast stage experience and distinctive harmony vocals make him a great addition to the group.

Hailing from Southern Louisiana and spending years in Los Angeles working with some of the best Rock and Roll bands of our generation, Ian brings both diversity and loads of talent to MDB.  He has appeared on MTV, VH1 and ABC, to name a few, and has been featured numerous times in ‘Modern Drummer’ and ‘Drum!’ magazines.  While spending the majority of his career touring both nationally and internationally, Ian has also made time to produce and develop other acts while off the road.  His endorsements include Taye Drums, Ahead Drumsticks, Flix Sticks and Brushes, Evans Drumheads, Stagg Cymbals, Stagg Guitars, HQ percussion, Pure Sound Snare Wires, and Jaded and Hated Clothing line.
