The Michael D. Band is a nationally touring modern "Rockin' Country" style band based out of Lexington, Kentucky. They have performed with country music legends Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Lacy J. Dalton and Junior Brown, as well as nationally touring acts O.A.R., Rich Hardesty, Michaelangelo. Michael D. has recorded with Hag Records (Merle Haggard's record label), and with the Country Music Association's Jonell Polansky at DeCapo Music. Michael has also performed live on the WSM morning show with Bill Cody. The Michael D. Band is also the proud winners of the 2008 John Michael Montgomery "Battle of the Bands".

The band has played a wide range of venues from local clubs and casinos to major concert arenas, each show winning over fans with youthful energy and the passion they exude on stage.

The sets performed by the Michael D. Band span all generations with crowd pleasers that captivatve audiences and pull them out of their seats. From the country classics from Dierks Bentley to Johnny Cash, John Mellencamp to Led Zeppelin, along with a mix of original songs, the band's stage show is focused on crowd participation and great music.
